Helping Veterans Access Care
Veterans are eligible for acupuncture through the VA Community Care Network. Here’s how to get started: 1. See Your VA Doctor Ask your VA primary care provider for a referral for acupuncture. Explain your pain (back, neck, headaches, or chronic pain) and how it affects your daily life. 2. Referral & Authorization If approved, the VA will send your request through Community Care (TriWest or Optum). You’ll receive an authorization letter, usually for 6–12 visits. 3. Schedule Treatment Once you have your authorization, call our clinic to schedule. There is no out-of-pocket cost – billing goes directly through VA Community Care.
